Join the cast of Another Videogame Webcomic as we peek behind the curtain to see what exactly goes into bringing your favorite video games to the small screen. It may be a job in video games, but it's still a job.
The Interview Process
Having been through the job interview process relatively recently, I can tell you it's no fun. I've had good interviews and interviews that made me want to crawl under my desk for days. I've done interviews over the phone and interviews that have lasted for weeks. I've had to take IQ tests and personality tests. I've had to battle the elements and traffic. But as bad as some of those interviews were, I've never had a prospective employer throw cockroaches on my face.I know it's a tough job market right now and I know that playing games all day for a living sounds fun... but how can any job really be worth everything they put you through? Plus, how much would it suck to go through all those challenges and not end up getting a job? It's not like American Idol, where the top 3 contestants actually have talent and will probably land a gig somewhere else! The only thing you've shown after going through the gauntlet of the Tester is that you will take crap from your employer for a low paying crappy job.
Which, come to think of it, is a pretty good skill to have in any job...
