Booooraaaiins...
It looks like 2012 is shaping up to be a good year if you're a Resident Evil fan. In a few months you've got Resident Evil: Revelations (which very nearly got me to buy a 3DS) and Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City (which I'm sure I'll be looking for someone to fill out my team with its four player co-op!). Towards the end of the year you've got the newly announced Resident Evil 6. And you've got the new movie, Resident Evil: Retribution... if you're into that kind of thing. (And by "that kind of thing", I mean crap flying RIGHT AT YOU because the movie is going to be in 3D.)I'm pretty excited for Resident Evil 6 even though I know very little about it. I know a lot of people were disappointed with the previous game for various reasons (the unplayability of single-player, the lack of move and shoot, the old school controls, etc). But none of that particularly bothered me. (Why would it when you can punch zombies in the face?) Having watched the Resident Evil 6 trailer roughly 43 times now, it looks like it's trying to appeal to the various Resident Evil fanbase. You've got Raccoon City 2.0 with Leon's parts, the more action oriented Chris parts and the punching zombies in the face parts with the new protagonist.
Seriously, punching zombies in the face was my favorite thing to do in Resident Evil 5. Many a co-op session, I'd scream "HAYMAKER!!!" into my headset...
