And this just makes me angrier because he clearly loves X-Men, and yet his fanboy side took over. "I UH, WANT TO DO A PHOENIX STORYLINE! AND I WANT TO DO THE MUTANT CURE! AND THE MORLOCKS, AND A BATTLE WHERE DAY TURNS TO NIGHT!" He didn't focus on making a cohesive movie. He almost literally just fan wanked.

And he probably had to have that X-suit made for him special.
