So I wasn't sure what to call this thread cause I have a question about the Codename The Cleaner comic, but it has nothing to do with the movie so I didn't want to start a thread for that. I figure this way everytime someone has a random question about one of the comics they can ask it here and maybe cut down on topics or something.
Anyway, in the background of the Cleaner comic is there a guy on fire in background as well as someone who shot himself in the head? That is brilliant, I usually miss the background jokes cause I am reading the dialogue. That is just good stuff. _________________ -Pogues

Yep, that's what's going on back there. I'm a big fan of making the background as interesting as possible. It's not somethign that's always warranted, but whenever I can I try to put jokes or references from reality in there.
The hard thing is, I'm never really sure how much of an issue the text is going to be so sometimes I've done a lot of work that jsut gets covered up. That's annoying. |

Well, you could put in as either vote incentives or just into the members board (or whatever) the comics sans dialogue to show off the backgrounds to full affect. Just an idea. _________________ The following statement is true...

That's true. It would be a nice way fo gettign back into the incentives. Truth is though thta i spend so much time with each movie that by the time it's done, I want nothing to do with it. post it, and move on. That's kind of abad though. |

Just post the uncolored version of the comic as the incentive. That way you can do it first before you get burnt out on the movie. Or something.
I can imagine that with the reviews you sometimes would just want to forget the whole thing after it is done. _________________ -Pogues

Pretty much. After spending that cuh time with one subject I'm normally ready to move on. The nice thing is, there's always something waiting for me. |

After you're done with the comic and review, would you say you and the comic are dunzo? _________________ If you're stupid, surround yourself with smart people. If you're smart, surround yourself with smart people who disagree with you. |

That's just flat-out awesome. I had no idea that was there until now. I need to go through these archives again, I guess. |

Since this thread got bumped back up, Joe have you ever thought of just skipping the reviews for some movies? I know you say that sometimes you never get around to posting on certain movies I just wondered if you ever thought about doing like an end of the month movie block where you just throw up comics for movies you haven't written reviews for. Just have a score and maybe a small paragraph blurb. I don't know, just throwing out an idea. I am basically just trying to get more JLCM out of you haha. _________________ -Pogues
